Welcome! So happy that you stopped by today. I am so excited to share my Honey Bee Scene Stepper card with you. I’ve created this card for our WOW Team Mini Catalog Card Swap. I love hosting swaps for my Team. Would love to have you join in the fun. Contact me today to start saving 20% on your crafting supplies.
First off, I would like to give credit to Ruth Hamilton with “A Passion for Cards” for this very fancy fold. I spotted her cute little ballerina scene stepper card on Pinterest and followed the link to her blog. Because her template was in centimeters, it took me a bit to convert the measurements. The rest is history.
Okay, isn’t that bee hive cute? And by having a little stage to highlight it, made things even better. The honey bee stamps have so much detail and makes the image look so realistic.
Because I mounted the big honey bee on a wobble, it has even more interest, not to mention movement. My sweet little daisies were punched with the medium daisy punch. Just offset and stack two images for added fullness. Be sure to hit the centers with your Wink of Stella to give them the sparkle.
To give the leaves some texture, I stamped them with the stamp from Artisan Textures. Then, by twisting each of the petals with my tweezers, it created some movement.
It was hard to photograph the inside of the card, but I hope this shot shows the depth. Can you image how many scenes you can build on this little stage? My mind is racing. I’ve already got another idea. But, you know you want to sign this one and send a sweet message, right? That’s why I created a panel on the back just for that.
A card this special needs a special envelope. I had to get a little creative since the card base is a large one. So, I altered a 9″ x 12″ manila envelope. I love how it turned out.
Ready for even more fabulous news.
Read on and find out!!
I think I’ve already mentioned (maybe a couple times) that the new Stitched So Sweetly dies are one of my favorites. Look how perfectly it framed this sweet sentiment. There’s a lot to this card, but well worth the effort. Not only have I filmed a detailed video tutorial for you, but a free PDF Tutorial is included on this blog post. It’s listed right below this video.

Can you believe it, we are already moving into the 1st full week of 2020! I’m kicking things off with my Bee Happy Sampler. It’s just too cute and what better message for the upcoming year.
As soon as I saw this bundle, I knew I would love giving it a play. My WOW Club Member, Connie, is having a party this week. Because Connie is an avid scapbooker, I wanted to design something she could use in that part of her crafting. Hence, the Bee Happy Sampler was born.
Stampin’ Up’s product coordination is the best. The Honey Bee bundle in the new Mini coordinates perfectly with the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper offered in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
In the second block, of my Bee Happy Sampler, I wanted to create a little bee hive scene. One of the best parts of creating samplers is that the blocks can also be used and adapted into cards. And did you notice the texture in the background. I created that with the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. Love!!
Ok, those bees are just too beautiful. Because I spritz them with Champagne Shimmer Mist, they sparkle and shine.
To create the “sunshine” background, I used a sponge brayer loaded with Crushed Curry ink. That’s a quick and easy technique. The letters, cut with the dies from the Hand Lettered Prose set, were also spritzed. I love the sparkle.
Because I’m still recuperating from my recent nasty fall, I couldn’t film a video for my Bee Happy Sampler. But, I did peck away at the keyboard to give you a very detailed PDF. Hope you can enjoy this and create a Bee Happy Sampler of your very own.

One of the best ways to get lots of cardmaking ideas is through my WOW Team Card Swap Mini Catalog. I always host a swap with my WOW Team each time we launch a new catalog. This time was no exception. And wait until you see these fabulous cards.
Because I always want to add even more to my swaps, I’m going to recreate one of the cards at the end of this post. But first, let’s take a look at all these beautiful creations. First up, Klarissa Nightingale and a waterfall fancy fold.
Just pull the pretty ribbon and reveal the waterfall. Klarissa used the Dressed to Impress bundle and the beautiful Best Dressed DSP.
Tropical time and a beautiful card from WOW Team Member, Lisa Lepine. I love the shabby chic look of this card. Lisa used the Timeless Tropical bundle. and the Tropical Oasis DSP. Don’t you just love all that layering? I know I sure do!
On of the most popular suites in the 2020 Mini Catalog has been Peaceful Poppies. Team member, Nancy Sanders, has incorporated elements from both the Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments bundles in her gorgeous card. The layering and touches of gold foil really make this card shine.
Ready for another fancy fold? This one is not just a card, but a very useful desk calendar and post-it-note holder. Created by WOW Team Member, Tonia Cooley, I think this is super clever. Tonia used those gorgeous papers from the Peaceful Poppies DSP.
The easel feature on this card is fantastic.
Next up, Helene Hebert has knocked it out the park with a unique fancy fold. It’s all about the layers, texture and fabulous stamping. Helene used her favorite Forever Blossoms bundle and the stunning Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP.
By opening the first layer, you reveal the first of 2 sentiments.
But wait, there’s more. By opening the final front panel you get a second surprise.
Rounding out the 2020 WOW Team Card Swap Mini Catalog, we have Molly Downing. Molly too, has turned to the very popular Peaceful Poppies Suite. By using lots of the die cuts and traditional poppy parade color, she created a card with lots of interest and dimension. Doesn’t that poppy bouquet look real?
Last, we have my card, which features the Honey Bee bundle. I’ve already published a blog post and video for my card. Hope you enjoyed it.
For our 2020 WOW Team Card Swap Mini, I thought I would try something new. By adding another feature to the card swap, I hope more of you will give these fabulous cards a try. I’ve placed all participating team member names in a hat. Then I drew a name and set to CASING her card. This time, it’s team member, Molly Downing. But, with a twist, I’ve changed the color scheme.
Be sure to check out my WOW Team Card Swap video so that you can appreciate lots of details in these fabulous creations.
