Deck the Halls with boughs of holly, falalala, la la la. To get the the Christmas spirit, I challenged my WOW Team to a Christmas Card Swap. Our guidelines were to create a Christmas card that was easy to mass produce, but still had a WOW factor. I think everyone delivered. For my card, I chose the Christmas Gleaming bundle. I wanted to make it quick and easy. And, nothing does that like a punch. In this bundle, we have two!!
The first WOW on my Deck the Halls card has to be the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. The 12 x 12 sheets are filled with copper foiling accents. One sheet is more beautiful than the next. Be sure to pick up a couple packs on your next order. Because the paper has been so popular it’s been on backourder. But, I’ve got great news. It’s currently back in stock.
My color palette is a little non-traditional, but I love it. I’ve combined Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla and that fabulous copper foil.
I didn’t even have to stamp the ornament images, just punched them out with the Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack. Talk about easy!
And I just love the font mix in the Deck the Halls sentiment. To cut out my sentiment, I pulled the Ornate Frames die set. Yes, again! Boy, am I hoping that one carries over. It’s the perfect sentiment cutting set. I have a video tutorial and supply list at the bottom of the post. But first, are you ready to see all other cards from my WOW Team Members? First up we have team member, Lisa Lepine.
Lisa used the Fells Like Frost DSP along with lots of Silver Foil and that super cute Perfectly Plaid bundle. I love the technique she used stacking the trees in different papers. That added so much texture. She shared with me that this card came together super fast. Why? The focal die cut was a left over from a batch of previous Christmas cards she created. Brilliant, don’t let that go to waste
Next up, we have Eva Hibbing. Eva is a new WOW Team Member and this is her first swap. But, hopefully not her last.
She used the Buffalo Check background stamp and Pretty Peacock ink. Lots of embossing really added the WOW factor to her lovely card. You’ld never know she is a newbie! That gorgeous Christmas tree comes from the Winter Woods set.
Dawn Galland decided to add in a little fancy in her fold using the So Many Stars bundle.
The stars interlock the gatefold. And WOW, she used that gorgeous Mercury Glass Designer Acetate over Brightly Gleaming DSP. You can see the copper stars through the acetate, adding even more interest and texture to her design.
Another very talented card maker, Helene Hebert, has stepped it up a notch with an origami fold for her sweet Christmas tree.
Using the Christmas Time is Here Specialty DSP, she cut five different size squares. Here are the directions Helene shared with me. You will need 5 squares @ 4″, 3.5″, 3″, 2.5″, 2″. Score each square in half and both diagonals. Optional cut: when folded in half, cut from outside to center between diagonal lines for ease of folds. Fold diagonals to center. Glue each triangle 3/4″ space apart and 1/4″ from outside edges. Oh my, I have got to give this one a try!
Now it’s Nancy Sanders turn. Nancy paired the Detailed Bands die set with the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. STUNNING!!
Because she cut the focal detailed band out of our Sparkle Glimmer Paper, it looks all icy and wintery. Just perfect with the designer paper. Then she finished it off with a little bow of the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon and a few basic pearls.
Last, but certainly not least, WOW Team Member, Tonia Cooley, added this card to our swap. She used our new, Limited Edition Suite, Christmastime is Here. By cutting the large floral image from the DSP, you’ll be mass producing this card in no time all.
Tonia also added in some of the fantastic Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and the beautiful Gold Shimmer Ribbon. Scoop some up for your stash quick before they sell out. Everyone is loving all the products in the suite.
Ok, are they talented or what? I’m so lucky to have each of them on my WOW Team. Can’t wait for the next swap to see what’s in store. But for now, I promised you a Deck the Halls video and details.
Here’s how the magic happens.
- Card Base – Thick Very Vanilla CS – 4 1/4″ X 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Mats – Night of Navy CS – 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″ and Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP – 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
- Focal Mats – Copper Foil – 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ and Night of Navy CS – 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″. On the Night of Navy CS, scatter stamp the speckly image from the Christmas Gleaming set in Celestial Copper ink.

Woohoo, time for another Team Card Swap. Our Holiday Card Swap is over the top fantastic. Let’s start things off with my contribution. You’ve already seen my Still Scenes snow globe card. Because, in an earlier post, I showcased this one. Don’t you just love snow globes?
Next up, we have Nancy Sanders, Stampin’ on Sanders Pond. Nancy chose a set from the Annual Catalog, Winter Woods. There is also a coordinating die set, In the Woods. I love all the texture and interest Nancy created with the embossing folder. The focal image is just everything!
Heaux, Heaux, Heaux, time for Santa. Team member, Molly Downing, Crafting Memories with Molly, designed this one. It’s fun and filled with lots of techniques and layers. It’s also a fabulous fancy fold using the Holly Jolly Christmas bundle.
Two Team Members chose the Toile Christmas bundle, for their entry in the Holiday Card Swap. But, each of their designs is unique. And you’re not going to believe this when I tell you. Both of these lovely ladies are NEW to my WOW Team. First up, Amy Long used both the Toile Christmas Bundle and the All-Around Wreath Dies.
Ready for another card with this gorgeous set. Tonia Cooley is an accomplished artist. Her skills are evident in this fabulous design. Which, by the way, is a fancy fold.
Let’s switch gears for a moment and take a look at a Thanksgiving card created by team member Margaret Savage. Get ready, it’s going to make you smile. She used the fun set, Birds of a Feather.
Remember, I mentioned earlier that there are some fabulous sets in the Annual Catalog. Denise Walker, took full advantage of the Making Christmas Bright set. This one coordinates with the Christmas Bulb Builder punch.
Last, but certainly not least, our very talented team member, Lisa Lepine, designed a gorgeous card. Because she created a diorama fold, you can display the card all season. Lisa chose the Frosted Foliage bundle.
I think you need a better, up close and personal look at these fabulous cards. I’ve filmed a video, highlighting each of the designs. I hope you enjoy it.

Woohoo! Time for another WOW Team Card Swap. One of the best parts of having a team is sharing. I have the most talented group of crafters EVER!! This is our second swap from the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I didn’t think things could get any better. But, then I received this fabulous assortment of gorgeous creations.
Seven of us joined in the swap this time. I’m excited to show you the cards up close and with a little detail on each. I’ll present them in alphabetical order, because there is no choosing a favorite. I love them all. First up we have Helene Hebert. Helene used the Healing Hugs stamp set. I just love the Pressed Petals DSP and her rich color palette. She also used the sweet lilttle border stamp from the “A Little Lace” set. Her attention to detail is over the top.
Next up, Klarissa Nightingale and boy oh boy did she WOW us with a fancy fold. This is a showstopper using the lovely Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP. I’m going to hang this one in my studio so it can make me smile every day. Talk about dedication and patience. Remember, she had to create seven of these.
Our next designer is Lisa Lepine. Her rich color palette and use of the Perennial Essence DSP really shows off the Detailed Bands dies. That die set is a must-have. She embossed the DSP with the Country Floral embossing folder. But wait, she didn’t stop there. She also spritzed it with shimmer mist!
Margaret Savage is our next designer. Her card is so very elegant. Love the monocromatic look. Just two colors and what a statement. She used the Very Versailles set. Highlighting the leaves with the wink of stella was the perfect finishing touch. This card can be adapted to any occasions. Love that!
Molly Downing created a fancy fold fold as well. Her soft color palette is soothing and peaceful. She used the Beautiful Friendship set. I wasn’t going to cave and get this one. But I’m going to have to rethink that now. This is the perfect set to create your own backgrounds with.
And the fold is an easy one. Two pieces of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ cardstock of your choice. Score each at 4 1/4″ and marry them together. Voila!!
Great minds think alike. Because our next designer, Nancy Sanders, also used the Beautiful Friendship set. But, she chose a different color palette. How yummy are those colors? And I love the way she used the Detailed Bands and stamped her sentiment right on top. Brilliant! Someone special will be getting this card. I just love it.
Last, we have my card. I featured it in my previous blog post. I also have a YouTube Video published there for you as well. I just love the vintage look and the Fanciful Fragrance set depicts that perfectly.
A big round of applause to all my team members. This WOW Team Card Swap was fantabulous!! Can’t wait for the next one.

I am so very blessed and fortunate to have a fabulous Team traveling this Stampin’ Up! journey with me. Wait until you see the gorgeous cards in our Annual Catalog WOW Team Card Swap. We had a small group this time, but oh my, their talent and creativity blew me away. The main guideline was to use a new catalog set. My team members, Nancy Sanders, Molly Downing, Dawn Galland and Lisa Lepine joined me in this swap.
First up we have Nancy’s lovely card. Nancy can be found on Facebook at Stampin’ on Sanders’ Pond. Her card showcases the Rooted in Nature bundle. I love that she gold embossed the vellum leaves for that added touch of texture and glitz.
Nancy loves nature and something told me she was going to chose this bundle for our WOW Team Swap this time. Her card base is Mint Macaron and layered with the gorgeous Nature’s Poem DSP. The beautiful accent band in Copper Foil and Nature’s Poem DSP is the perfect backdrop for her focal image.
Next, we have Molly Downing. Molly blogs at Creating Memories with Molly. She is an avid scrapbooker and lucky for us creates beautiful cards rich in techniques as well. Molly chose the Abstract Impressions set. The colors are so bright and vibrant and I love all the layers.
She made sure to stamp the envelope to match. Don’t you just love the way she layered the focal image, tucking in those flowers and embellishments.
Dawn Galland created our next card. She used the Sea of Textures Bundle. WOW, what a fantastic fold and color palette.
The little cluster of die cuts is fantastic. I especially love the way she inked and highlighted those sweet sand dollars. The peek-a-boo effect on the card front reveals the sentiment, so cute!
Last, but certainly not least, is my newest team member, Lisa Lepine. Lisa hopped onto the WOW Team Card Swap to fill in for another team member and knocked it out the park. She’s only been with the team about a month and hit the ground running. Lisa chose the Love What You Do stamp set, Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper and the Garden Impressions DSP.
She used glossy white paper for her stamping surface and her color blending is fabulous. But she didn’t stop there, the inside of the card is just as lovely as the outside.
I’ve already highlighted my card in a previous blog post. But here is a photo in case you didn’t see that one. I used the Serene Garden Bundle as a starting point, but incorporated lots of other new sets and techniques as well.
I can’t wait for our next swap. Hoping more of my WOW Team Members can join in the fun next time. I think it is fabulous, sharing what we love to do with each other. Until next time, Create Something Beautiful!
