Do you ever loose your mojo? Or maybe you just need a creative jumpstart. Stampin’ Up!’s catalog samples can help you out. Grace’s Garden bundle, found on page 13 of the Mini Catalog, is a perfect example. A team of concept artists work on and create all the gorgeous samples. It’s a great place to start to get those creative juices flowing. To show you what I mean, I’ve CASED the sample for today’s tutorial.
I’m lovin’ everything about the card; the colors, techniques, sweet images and the lovely sentiment. Grace’s Garden is a 12-piece photopolymer set with a 19-piece die set.
Because I used lots of the images from the set, it was easy to build lots of dimension. And that sweet gate is just so cute.
By embossing the Crumb Cake CS with the Brick & Mortar 3D Folder, it created the perfect backdrop for my scene. Be sure to highlight some of the bricks with your Whisper White dauber to create some interest.
With this card design, the inside is a continuation of the front scene.
How did I create the wash of color in the background? Sponge brayer to the rescue. Cceck out the simple, but dramatic, technique in my free video tutorial.
Here’s how the magic happens.
- Thick Whisper White CS – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ – score @4 1/4″
