Forever Greenery Sneak Peek Card #3

Forever Greenery Suite Card #3, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

All good things come to an end I guess. But don’t worry, we’ve got an entire year to play with all these goodies. I know for sure you’ll be seeing the elements of this suite in lots of projects to come. One of which will be my WOW Class to GO! coming later this Summer.

Forever Greenery Suite Card #3, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

I’m switching up the color palette to show you the versatility you will enjoy with this suite. Isn’t it dramatic? Because I embossed the Blackberry Bliss mat with the new Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, I’ve created lots of texture. Card #3 would not be complete unless I add some WOW. The vellum stamping is one of those WOW factors. It gave the elements a nice soft look and feel.

Forever Greenery Suite Card #3, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

First of all, I chose the Forever Gold Laser-Cut grid. The entire design was built around that element. But, I couldn’t stop there. I pulled a couple of the leaf sprigs and added in some gold twine trim.

Forever Greenery Suite Card #3, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

It actually was a happy accident when I found that the stitched rectangle die-cut was the perfect size. Not only was it great for the sentiment, but it fit side to side exactly with the gold grid.  Happy dance!!

Don’t forget to stamp the inside of your card, along with your envelope. Whoever receives your card will be pleasantly surprised. And on top of that, you’ll look like the master card maker you are. Card #3 has a couple little tips and tricks I’ld love to share in my free video tutorial.

Here’s how the magic happens.

  • Card Base – Thick Whisper White CS – 4 1/4″ x 11″, score @ 5 1/2″

  • Embossed Mat – Blackberry Bliss CS – 3 3/4″ x 5″, emboss with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

Magnolia Embossed Foil

Magnolia Embossed Foil

WOW!! Does that magnolia embossed foil make a statement or what? This card is so dramatic, yet simple to create with minimal supplies.

Magnolia Embossed Foil, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

In the package of noble peacock foil sheets, you’ll receive 6 single sided sheets, 2 each of 3 colors; Blueberry Bushel, Old Ollive and Pretty Peacock.  This magnolia embossed foil card is the 2nd in a three-card series featuring this gorgeous paper. Unfortunately, the foil sheets will retire, June 2, 2020. So, right now, they are available while supplies last.

Magnolia Embossed Foil, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

By sanding the magnolia embossed foil, you will reveal the silver core, making it a little distressed. I love that look. But, if you aren’t a fan, you can always leave out that step in the design.

Magnolia Embossed Foil, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

I’ve used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set for all the greetings and that lovely flourish.  The card base and ink are both in BlueBerry Bushel. Because I used the silver foil as my mat, it really makes the distressed magnolia pop.

My llittle something extra for you today, is my FREE PDF for this project.  There is also a full supply list below.  I would love to earn your business and would appreciate you shopping my online store. Enjoy!!

Don’t have the suite yet? No worries, it’s available NOW!! This gorgeous suite will be a part of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. So we will have lots of time to play and create.  Here’s a look at all the items included in the suite.

Above all, the stamps, dies and paper are easily coordinated with lots of other bundles/suites we currently have. Just look how cute the Stitched So Sweetly Dies were used on this card to create the focal image.

Little Debbie Valentine Slider Box

Little Debbie Valentine Slider Box

Wish we could be together swapping chocolates and laughing over candy hearts. But, since we can’t, let’s create a sweet little Valentine Slider Box.

Little Debbie Slider Valentine Treat Box, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

Little Debbie is a great supplier of treats for every holiday season. Valentine’s Day is no exception. If you are on the hunt for the Strawberry Heart Cakes, search no more. I’ve got a link to their product site here

Little Debbie Slider Valentine Treat Box, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

Could the colors match any better? I’ve used Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Whisper White for my color palette. My valentine slider box can be created with just one sheet of the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

Little Debbie Slider Valentine Treat Box, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

Just slide the box from the wrap to reveal the treat. Because the From My Heart Suite contains so many coordinating projects, I decided to throw those in as well.  Be sure to add the sweet doilies, faceted gems and ribbon to your order. You’ll thank me later.

Little Debbie Slider Valentine Treat Box, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

Want to create a valentine slider box? Pick up a box of the Little Debbie cakes and you’ll have enough treats for four gift boxes. Here’s my free video tutorial to show you how easy this treat box can be.

Here’s how the magic happens.

  • Slider – Flirty Flamingo CS – 7 5/8″ x 5 1/4″, on the 7 5/8″ side, score @ 3/8″, 1 1/2″, 4″, and 5 1/8″.

Deck the Halls with Team Card Swap

Deck the Halls with Team Card Swap

Deck the Halls with boughs of holly, falalala, la la la.  To get the the Christmas spirit, I challenged my WOW Team to a Christmas Card Swap. Our guidelines were to create a Christmas card that was easy to mass produce, but still had a WOW factor. I think everyone delivered.  For my card, I chose the Christmas Gleaming bundle. I wanted to make it quick and easy. And, nothing does that like a punch. In this bundle, we have two!!

Deck the Halls Christmas Card, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

The first WOW on my Deck the Halls card has to be the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. The 12 x 12 sheets are filled with copper foiling accents. One sheet is more beautiful than the next. Be sure to pick up a couple packs on your next order. Because the paper has been so popular it’s been on backourder. But, I’ve got great news. It’s currently back in stock.

Deck the Halls Christmas Card, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

My color palette is a little non-traditional, but I love it. I’ve combined Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla and that fabulous copper foil.

Deck the Halls Christmas Card, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

I didn’t even have to stamp the ornament images, just punched them out with the Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack.  Talk about easy!

Deck the Halls Christmas Card, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Stampin' Up!

And I just love the font mix in the Deck the Halls sentiment. To cut out my sentiment, I pulled the Ornate Frames die set. Yes, again!  Boy, am I hoping that one carries over. It’s the perfect sentiment cutting set. I have a video tutorial and supply list at the bottom of the post. But first, are you ready to see all other cards from my WOW Team Members? First up we have team member, Lisa Lepine.

WOW Team Card Swap, Lisa Lepine, Stampin' Up!

Lisa used the Fells Like Frost DSP along with lots of Silver Foil and that super cute Perfectly Plaid bundle. I love the technique she used stacking the trees in different papers. That added so much texture. She shared with me that this card came together super fast. Why? The focal die cut was a left over from a batch of previous Christmas cards she created. Brilliant, don’t let that go to waste

Next up, we have Eva Hibbing. Eva is a new WOW Team Member and this is her first swap. But, hopefully not her last.

WOW Team Card Swap, Eva Hibbing, Stampin' Up!

She used the Buffalo Check background stamp and Pretty Peacock ink. Lots of embossing really added the WOW factor to her lovely card. You’ld never know she is a newbie! That gorgeous Christmas tree comes from the Winter Woods set.

Dawn Galland decided to add in a little fancy in her fold using the So Many Stars bundle.

WOW Team Card Swap, Dawn Galland, Stampin' Up!

The stars interlock the gatefold. And WOW, she used that gorgeous Mercury Glass Designer Acetate over Brightly Gleaming DSP.  You can see the copper stars through the acetate, adding even more interest and texture to her design.

Another very talented card maker, Helene Hebert, has stepped it up a notch with an origami fold for her sweet Christmas tree.

WOW Team Card Swap, Helene Hebert, Stampin' Up!

Using the Christmas Time is Here Specialty DSP, she cut five different size squares. Here are the directions Helene shared with me.  You will need 5 squares @ 4″, 3.5″, 3″, 2.5″, 2″. Score each square in half and both diagonals. Optional cut: when folded in half, cut from outside to center between diagonal lines for ease of folds. Fold diagonals to center. Glue each triangle 3/4″ space apart and 1/4″ from outside edges. Oh my, I have got to give this one a try!

Now it’s Nancy Sanders turn. Nancy paired the Detailed Bands die set with the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. STUNNING!!

WOW Team Card Swap, Nancy Sanders, Stampin' Up!

Because she cut the focal detailed band out of our Sparkle Glimmer Paper, it looks all icy and wintery. Just perfect with the designer paper. Then she finished it off with a little bow of the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon and a few basic pearls.

Last, but certainly not least, WOW Team Member, Tonia Cooley, added this card to our swap. She used our new, Limited Edition Suite, Christmastime is Here. By cutting the large floral image from the DSP, you’ll be mass producing this card in no time all.

WOW Team Card Swap, Tonia Cooley, Stampin' Up!

Tonia also added in some of the fantastic Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and the beautiful Gold Shimmer Ribbon. Scoop some up for your stash quick before they sell out. Everyone is loving all the products in the suite.

Ok, are they talented or what? I’m so lucky to have each of them on my WOW Team. Can’t wait for the next swap to see what’s in store.  But for now, I promised you a Deck the Halls video and details.

Here’s how the magic happens.

  • Card Base – Thick Very Vanilla CS – 4 1/4″ X 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Mats – Night of Navy CS – 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″ and Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP – 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
  • Focal Mats – Copper Foil – 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ and Night of Navy CS – 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″. On the Night of Navy CS, scatter stamp the speckly image from the Christmas Gleaming set in Celestial Copper ink.
  • Accent Band – Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP – 1 3/4″ x 4 1/2″
  • Sentiment – Very Vanilla CS and Copper Foil – one each 2″ x 1 3/4″, cut with the die from Ornate Frames. On the Very Vanilla die cut, stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy.
