For my World Card Making Day card, I used the First Frost bundle.  It’s not just for Christmas and I really wanted to show the versatility of this set. I needed a swap card for my WOW Team Swap, It’s Fall Y’all was the theme and I thought this would be a great opportunity to shake things up and use this set. Choosing my color palette was the first step. Warm colors speak Fall to me and so I chose Cajun Craze,Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss with hints of all things copper.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, World Card Making Day, First Frost, Stampin' Up!

The absolutely fabulous DSP background is from the Frosted Floral Specialty pack.  Talk about yummy!! This DSP has a shimmery, frosted look.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, World Card Making Day, First Frost, Stampin' Up!

Look at all that texture on the roses. And it’s so easy to do.  Just ink, stamps and paper and you’ll look like an artist. The beautiful copper accents were created with the sprig die from the First Frost set.  The Seasonal Layers Thinlits have so many fantastic dies, but I was drawn to that gorgeous leaf. I cut two of those for this design.

When choosing the sentiment for my World Card Making Day card, I knew I wanted something that spoke to thanks and being grateful.  I knew we had just the right words with the lovely sentiments in Country Home.

To me, a really special card isn’t complete until you’ve dressed up the inside.  It’s another little something that you can add to your card making to make the recipient feel truly special.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, World Card Making Day, First Frost, Stampin' Up!

I just love this card and I hope the person that will be receiving it will know how much they mean to me. Stamping the envelope will even make the postman take a second look and admire the gift I’m sending to my friend.

Seasonal Layers Fall Holiday Gift

Seasonal Layers Fall Holiday Gift

I’m always on the hunt for quick and easy gift giving ideas.  Thanksgiving is fast approaching and I knew I wanted to use our Seasonal Layers framelits.  I love the leaves in that set. And what says Fall better than rich colored leaves?

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Seasonal Layers Holiday Gift

Lucky me, I found these cute mugs at my local Dollar Tree.  As soon as I saw the leaf design, I knew they would compliment the leaves in our Seasonal Layers set.  And to make matters even better, I scooped up some of the Fall Taffy. I think that’s a match made in Fall heaven.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Seasonal Layers Holiday Gift

It was easy to pull the perfect color combo for my Seasonal Layers holiday mug. Stampin’ Up!’s color palette is so versatile and trendy. I found the perfect color match, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Garden Green. I wanted the tag to be over the top pretty, so Tin Tile Dynamic Textures Embossing Folder to the rescue.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Seasonal Layers Holiday Gift

Be sure to lightly spritz your paper with water before running it through the Big Shot with this folder.  It really makes the embossing pop.  I cut a scallop circle with our Layering Circles Framelit and then highlighted the raised areas with Pumpkin Pie ink.  Next, my Seasonal Layers leaves; one each in Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Garden Green created the perfect focal image.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Seasonal Layers Holiday Gift

Did you notice the polka dot tulle is tinted in Pumpkin Pie?  That’s an easy technique I can teach you now to do in my FREE video tutorial.

Are you making your gift list?  Who are the lucky ones that will receive one of these?  I know you just can’t wait to create some of your own.

Here’s how the magic happens.

  • Tag – Scallop Circle – Thick Whisper White CS – 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″, cut with the Layering Circles framelits and embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.
  • Leaves – Cajun Craze CS – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″, Pumpkin Pie CS – 2″ x 2 1/2″, and Garden Green CS – 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″, cut with the dies from Seasonal Layers. Stamp tone on tone, on the Cajun Craze and Garden Green leaves with the stamp from Touches of Texture.
  • Sentiment – Whisper White CS – 1/2″ x 3″, stamp the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings in Pumpkin Pie. Dovetail both ends.
  • Ribbon – Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle – 2 pieces at 8″ each

Accented Blooms Thank You

Accented Blooms Thank You

Welcome!  Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I’m very excited to share today’s project with you.  I’ll be using the beautiful Accented Blooms stamp set.  One of the best features of this set is that there is a coordinating punch.  That makes creating with Accented Blooms quick and easy.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Accented Blooms, Stampin' Up!

WOW, do you just love that background paper?  Accented Blooms is just that. A set you can use to accent all your die cuts, pretty papers and techniques with.  My Brushos were calling my name.  I hadn’t used them in a bit and knew I wanted my backdrop to be bright, vibrant and colorful.  I used both the Yellow and Gamboge to create my Accented Blooms background.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Abstract Impressions, Thank You, Stampin' Up!

I wanted to use some new colors, and I usually don’t gravitate to purple, but, oh my, Stampin’ Up! hit it out the park with the two new shades of purple added to our color palette.  Gorgeous Grape is a deep purple, while Highland Heather is a more subtle shade.  But, you know what, I love them both.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Abstract Impressions, Thank You, Stampin' Up!

With minimal supplies and only one die set, you can create beautiful cards just like this.  You’ll feel like an artist creating great abstracts with this fantastic stamp set.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Abstract Impressions, Thank You, Stampin' Up!

Delightfully Detailed Gift Card Set

The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper is the bomb!!  This gorgeous paper makes creating a set of beautiful Thank You cards quick and easy.  It pairs wonderfully with the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes.  With one package of each, I created twenty cards.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Delightfully Detailed Note Card Set, Stampin' Up!

I’ve even decided to use my box from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit to create a gift set for my dear friend.  The box will hold five cards with envelopes and I’ll even throw in the postage for a little added treat.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Delightfully Detailed Note Card Set, Stampin' Up!

I so enjoyed working on this project.  The sweet little butterfly was fun to color.  It’s a gorgeous new image in the Painted Glass set and has a matching die, so no fussy cutting.  And hooray, it is being offered in a bundle format, saving you 10%.  There are nine dies in the set, six of them lovely intricate stain glass type.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Delightfully Detailed Note Card Set, Stampin' Up!

The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper is vanilla on one side, white on the other side.  One design is a 12′ x 12″ pattern; the other has distinct patterns to cut out and use.  Those fit perfectly on the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards. The package of DSP has 8 sheets, 4 each of 2 designs. In this set I used our new Pearlized Doilies which are pearlized on one side and white on the other, making them easy to customize to any color in your project.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Delightfully Detailed Note Card Set, Stampin' Up!

To create all twenty of the notecards, I used only one sheet of other designer series paper, Nature’s Poem.  This one is a must have, especially when planning your Fall projects.  I included a little snippet of the soft suede leaf pattered paper in each of the cards.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Delightfully Detailed Note Card Set, Stampin' Up!

The beautiful Delightfully Detailed Note Cards already have the color wash printed on the card front.  There are 20 color-washed cards in the set, 5 each of 4 designs and 20 envelopes are included as well.
