The fabulous Lasting Lily stamp set is one of Stampin’ Up’s! new DistINKtive sets. And this is the first catalog where they are being offered in photopolymer. The Lasting Lily set includes 16 stamps, including 10 sentiments. This is one of our Level 2 FREE Sale-a-Bration sets. Place a $100 order and you can choose this one for FREE!!
The subtle color palette of Petal Pink, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White are perfect for this card. The addition of Basic Black makes everything pop. You could use this card for sympathy or thinking of you. The sentiments in the set are so versatile.
Lasting Lily would be a great addition to your stamp collection. The flowers can be stamped in any color combination to give your card just the right look for all occasions. Because I cut the ovals with or Layering Oval Framelits, it made creating the focal image quick and easy. Those dies are a go-to for me.
The set include a fabulous grunge stamp that I used to create the frame around the flowers. By stamping off twice in So Saffron, I think I achieved just the right amount of color.
The lovely die cut from the Petals and More Thinlits is another one of my favorites. By using that one, the sentiment is really grounded. I’ve got a few tips to share with you. Sit back, relax and view my FREE video tutorial.

We all have rough patches in our lives from time to time and need a little hope and inspiration. All of us have a friend or relative that might need that little seed of hope. This gorgeous stamp set, Hold on to Hope, is perfect. You can create beautiful cards for so many occasions, Thinking of You, Easter, Sympathy, Hope, Encouragement, Baptism and so many more.
My color inspiration came from the gorgeous designer series paper Whole Lot of Lovely. Using Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Whisper White and Basic Black really bought out the elegance in this design. I think everyone should have those Layering Ovals Framelits and Stitched Shapes in their stash. They are so versatile and for sure some of my go-to design elements.
With the framelits, you can create five different shapes/sizes of crosses. You can layer them, stamp them or highlight them solo. I did use the framelit from Petals and More to cut out the sentiment, but if you don’t have that one you could always use just a strip of Whisper White and slant the ends on an angle. The stamp set has beautiful larger sentiments that you can use on the inside of the card as well.
Did you notice the hint of the designer paper at the bottom of the inside of the card? I couldn’t bring myself to waste one little piece of that gorgeous paper. Be sure to add a package or two to your next order. I’m sure it will probably retire when the new catalog goes live in June. You won’t want to miss out on these lovely papers.
Would you like to create this one right along with me? Here you go.

Don’t you just love it when you purchase a new stamp and learn multiple ways to use it? That’s what I’ll be showing you in this marbled background card series. The star of the show is our Marbled Background stamp from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog. This is the first of three cards in the series and this one showcases a great technique, emboss resist.
The beautiful swirly background is very easy to create. All you need is the marbled background stamp, clear embossing powder, an embossing buddy, heat tool, a couple of sponge daubers and two color inks of your choice. In this case, I used Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. And presto, you get this lovely effect. You could use this technique on any type of card.
I’ve published a how-to video on my YouTube Channel, WOW NOLA Creations. My channel is fast approaching 4000 subscribers and I would love to have you join in the fun. When I hit that magic number, I’ll be having a fantastic giveaway and by subscribing you’ll be notified of all my latest video posts. You won’t want to miss out on the giveaway.
