Woohoo! Did you notice this post includes a Prize Giveaway!! I can’t wait to share all the cards my WOW Team created for our Jan-June Mini Catalog Card Swap. You’ll get so many ideas, including some fun folds. With each Team Swap, I put all participants names in the hat and pull a winner. Let’s see all the cards before I announce that.
WOW!! I think my WOW Team Members knocked it out the park. And did you notice, each card features a different set? I love getting all these ideas and we will go through them one by one. Stay to the end to see the details of my Prize Giveaway. First up, we have first-time swapper, Helen Sigler.
Helen loves color. She shared with us that the Pretty Perennials bundle was the first one on her wish list. Well, I don’t know about you, but I think she was spot on with her color choices. This card truly makes me happy. Next up, Helen’s Mom, Kathy Docen.
This submission was Kathy’s first as well. She wowed us with the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle. Not only that she included some Frost white Shimmer Paint and beautiful vellum in her design. This bundle is at the top of my design list. Fingers crossed I get to it this week. Let’s see what Darlene Torres has in store for us.
Look at those stinkin’ cute Darling Donkeys. By the way, it’s a FREE set you can earn during Sale-a-Bratoin. Not only that, Darlene used the Oh So Ombre DSP, another FREE offering. I’m loving all the layers and her fantastic coloring using Stampin’ Blends. It’s Nancy Sanders turn next.
You can’t go wrong with the fabulous new True Love Designer Series Paper. It’s a black and white classic. Nancy really showed off that gorgeous paper with her fancy fold. And how about her coloring. She isolated an image from the paper. Because fussy cutting is a breeze, she did just that. Then she colored right on the DSP! Nancy used the Forever & Always Bundle, a must-have. Denise Walker is our next designer.
Denise used the Quite Curvy bundle to create this super cute and happy fun fold. Yep, she even included a mat of window sheet to give the see-through effect on her card. Again, lovely coloring with the Blends. I see a pattern here, how about you? Ready for another very fancy fold? Paula-Kay Bourland shared a very unique fold in her swap card.
Be sure to view my video at the end of the post to see the mechanism on Paula-Kay’s card. She used the Dragonfly Garden bundle. Hop on that one quick! It’s projected to go on backorder. Because she used the Flower & Field DSP her card has a very dramatic look and feel. Next up, Klarissa Nightingale shared a sweet shaker card.
Klarissa used the Simply Succulents Bundle to fill her Mason Jar Shaker Dome. Brilliant idea! She also used the very versatile In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I think it gave her shaker the perfect background. Time to unveil the winner of this swap. Tonia Cooley has designed a fabulous Calendar & Post-it-Note Easel Card filled with techniques.
Oh my goodness, I was blown away when I opened her swap box. Tonia’s beautiful design contains, heat embossing, gilded leafing, blends coloring, dry embossing, and so much more.
She even created a custom colored ribbon to match her card. Yep, you can do that with Stampin’ Blends.
Do you love that butterfly as much as I do? That one can be found in the FREE Sale-a-Bration set, A Touch of Ink. Check out the video to watch me CASE Tonia’s card. You won’t want to miss all the techniques and tips.

I’m over the moon excited to share my WOW Team Holiday Card Swap. Each time Stampin’ Up! launches a new catalog, we swap. Seems like I say this every time, but, I’ll say it again. My beautiful WOW Team, of very talented artists, has knocked it out the park.
Sit back, relax, grap a cuppa and enjoy!! You’ll want to CASE lots of the designs from my WOW Team Holiday Card Swap. Because each card is a little work of art, they are absolutely fabulous. There are fancy folds, lots of layers and a surprise re-make, of one of the cards, at the end of this blog post.
It’s almost Fall y’all!!
New Team Member, Darlene Torres, designed this beautiful card. Can you believe it? It’s her first swap with the WOW Team! I love her rich color palette and the use of the gorgeous Gilded Autumn Specialty Desiger Series Paper. Darlene even embossed the Brushed Metallic CS with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I love her attention to detail. I feel a CASE coming on. I need a thank you card today.
Certainly, by now, if you’ve been following me, you know I love the Autumn season. And how fun and happy is this card, designed by team member, Denise Walker. Denise used the Autumn Greetings Bundle. Those little punkins’ are too stinkin’ cute. Denise used the the gorgeous sample in the catalog to launch her design. She made it her own using a Cinnamon Cider card base with a Pumpkin Pie die-cut mat. Even more detail was added with the embossed sentiment and Wink of Stella.
Ready for some Christmas inspiration?
Team member, Paula-Kay Bourland designed this gorgeous card using both the Dove of Hope and Beautiful World Bundles. As a result, I would call that a marriage made in heaven. These two bundles compliment each other so much. Paula-Kay used the clear embossing powder technique on her sentiment. Did you know you can use any color ink with clear embossing powder? Yep, just be quick before the ink has a chance to dry.
And yet another stunning card with the Dove of Hope bundle. This one was designed by team member, Tonia Cooley. Tonia incorprated the yummy Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper on the dove. In one word, STUNNING! She also used an inking technique with the snowflake embossed panel. Likewise, on the inside of the card, she used the same technique. I love the way she hand cut the sentiment, adding even more attention to detail. Do you see a pattern here?
This one is the first of a few fancy folds. Designed by team member Helene Hebert, we’ve got a flip-fold using the Best Plaid Builder die with the Joyful Holly stamp set. Because the Joyful Holly set is a two-step set, I’m sure it was easy for Helene to fill in all those holly leaves and berries, quick and easy. That lovely sentiment comes from the For Unto Us set. That’s a great one for the inside greetings as well. Helene’s plaid background was created using three layers; Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and her signature Vellum CS. Ready for yet more fancy folds?
Another gorgeous design, this time, by team member Molly Downing. This fabulous easel fold was created with the Sweetest Time Bundle. Most noteworthy, you’ll love the Sweetest Borders Dies. That’s what Molly used to cut that fun holly border. There’s also a cute candy cane border die in the set. Molly too, used the clear embossing powder technique on her sentiment. My team is always looking for ways to “step things up a notch”.
Not only did team member, Lisa Lepine create an easel fold, but she added the book fold technique as well. Lovely, right? I’m so happy Lisa decided to use the Peaceful Nativity Bundle, it’s the perfect Christmas card to celebrate the reason for the season. Her selection of World of Good and Ornate Garden DSP, is perfection! Coloring with Stampin’ Blends finished off the scene to really make things pop.
This was my contribution, a sweet peek-a-boo card. I published a detailed blog post and video tutorial a few days ago. If you missed it, here’s the link. Ok, are you sitting down? Last, but not least, we have a fantastic diorama card, designed by team member Nancy Sanders. Nancy’s card will be featured in my video tutorial this time. I loved CASEing her beautiful design. Hope you will too!
WOW!!!! Nancy used the diorama fold to showcase her Christmas scene in the background and that fabulous poinsettia as the star. Using elements from the Poinsettia Petals bundle, Nancy created a one-of-a-kind work of art. She incorporated elements using silver foil, vellum, metallic mesh ribbon, and so much more. The two lovely designer series papers, Snowflake Spendor and In Good Taste added just the right touch.
Nancy even took the extra step to emboss the window sheet with the new Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Want to see how to create this one? Be sure to watch to the end of the video and I’ll go through it for you, step by step. You’ll be creating in no time flat.

WOW Team Holiday Card Swap – Diorama Card by Nancy Sanders
If you’re looking for a team to join, we would love to you. Then you too can join in fabulous card swaps like this one. Until next time, Create Something Beautiful!
I am so excited to share our 2020-2021 Annual Catalog WOW Team Card Swap. Boy, oh boy, do I have some talented artists on my team. Every time I host a swap I can’t wait to receive all the fabulous creations. As usual, each WOW Team Member has knocked it out the park.
WOW, right? Let’s take a closer look at each card and get a little more detail. But wait, be sure to stay with me all the way to the end, because one of the cards will be highlighted and featured for you in my YouTube Video Tutorial. My entry for the swap was featured in a previous post here.
In that blog post, you will find a free downloadable PDF, along with an added extra and a video tutorial. Would love to hear if you give this one a try. Now let’s dive into my team members creations. First up, we have Klarissa Nightingale.
Look at that vibrant color combination. Klarissa used the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle along with the Birch background stamp. Embossing the flower centers with gold embossing powder added a distinct richness to her design. Because she used the new Just Jade in-color, for her background, those flowers pop off the page. Next up, we have another sunflower design. This time a fancy fold.
Denise Walker designed this sweet corner flip fold. The clean palette of Whisper White and Bumble Bee really make for a crisp summery design. I’m lovin’ the die cut leaves that accent the sentiment. Let’s switch sets and go to a couple of masculine designs. We all need those! Molly Downing featured the Beautiful World bundle in her fabulous fancy fold.
Because she used lots of the World of Good Specialty DSP, Molly’s card is extra special. Did you notice that she used both hemispheres of the globe on the stands? She’s one smart cookie! Let’s see what Dawn Galland has in store using the same bundle.
Yep, that’s right another fancy fold. This time it’s the double dutch door. Dawn included some coloring on the globe featured on her focal mat. Surprise! Open the doors of the card to reveal a fabulous sentiment.
One of the most popular bundles during the demonstrator preorder was Forever Fern. Paula-Kay Bourland highligthed the elements of the Forever Greenery Suite. And guess what, she created a swing fold to boot!!
The Forever Greenery DSP is the star of this fancy fold. Did you notice the sparkle in those beautiful gems? That’s another super popular item. Don’t miss out on adding a couple containers of the Flowers for Every Season Gems to your order. You’ll love using them like Paula-Kay did or in your next shaker card. Nancy Sanders designed the next one.
Nancy used the Blossoms in Bloom bundle. Look at all that painstaking piecing she did. She loves us lots. Creating custom sentiments just got a lot easier. The new Lovely Label Pick a Punch is six punches in one! Two designs, three widths, any length. It’s convenient, versatile and a Stampin’ Up! exclusive!
Nancy even included a partial die cut on the inside and one more for good measure on the envelope. Ready for another fancy fold? Let’s see what Helene Hebert has in store for us.
Another gorgeous design that features lots of the die cuts from the Forever Fern bundle. Helene added in some vellum butterflies as well. I love the softness of that with the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle. And that fold, WOW!! I’ve got to give that one a try soon. She even included a special packaging for her card.
That’s right, it’s in one of our acetate card boxes. Wouldn’t it be great to invite a friend for a coffee and present them with this card? I think I would feel super special. Last, but certainly not least, we have Lisa Lepine’s Third Fold Fancy Fold.
Lisa’s card was chosen to be featured in my video tutorial. For each swap, all the swapper’s names are placed in the drawing. I spin the wheel and that card is the one I try to recreate and feature. This one was so much fun. Lisa featured not only the Forever Fern set, but the Birds & Branches bundle.
Open up that fancy fold to reveal a large mat that you can use for a greeting or message. And Lisa didn’t stop there, she gave us all a template to follow in case we wanted to recreate the fold. Here you go, we are also sharing it with you guys.
I’ve got a treat for you as well. Sit back, relax and take another closer look at all these designs. On top of that I’ll recreate Lisa’s card in my video tutorial.
Here’s how the magic happens.
- Card Base – Pretty Peacock CS – 8 1/4″ x 8 1/4″, score and fold as indicated on Lisa’s template.
- Large Mat – Soft Sea Foam CS – 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″

Annual Catalog WOW Team Card Swap
Card designed by Lisa Lepine, www.lisalepine.stampinup.net
Wasn’t that a great swap? How would you like to be a part of our next one? If you would like to chat about becoming a part of the WOW Team I would be thrilled. Contact me today and we will set that up. Until next time, Create Something Beautiful!
Welcome! It’s almost Easter, can you believe it? I know we are all going through a tough time right now. But today, I’ve got a fabulous WOW Team Easter Card Swap to share with you. Some of my team members were able to participate and I’ve got all the scoop on their cards. Hope this beautiful eye candy cheers you up. First up, we have Nancy Sanders. You can find Nancy’s site here.
Nancy chose the Easter Promise set for her fabulous fancy fold. Because she included the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies DSP, she was able to create a lovely springtime color palette. And of course you want to see the inside, right?
How beautiful is that? Nancy has definately inspired me to try this fold. Next up, we have team member Lisa Lepine. You can find Lisa’s website here.
Lisa chose not only the Beautifully Braided bundle, but also tied in the sentiment from the Easter Promise set as well. I love the idea of stamping that big bold flower as the focal image. Lisa then stamped it again to fussy cut some of the blooms. By doing so, she was able to add lots of dimension to her WOW Team Easter Card Swap entry.
She finished things off with the pretty image from the Braided Border Punch. Lightly inking the cross was a brilliant little detail. The next card in our Easter card swap is mine. I’ve already blogged this card and featured it on my YouTube Channel. Here’s a photo and link to the blogpost in case you missed it.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the super stinkin’ cute card by Dawn Galland. Dawn featured the Fable Friends set from the annual catalog.
As soon as I saw that background techique, I knew I wanted Dawn to teach me how to achieve all that texture. It’s quite easy and I’ll show you how in the video tutorial below.
Because the Fable Friends set has so many little critters, it’s super easy to finish off the inside of the card as well. I know you’re anxious to see that background in action. Here you go.
Here’s how the magic happens.
- Card Base – Thick Whisper White CS – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Mat – Calypso Coral CS – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Mat – Whisper White CS – 3 3/4″ x 5″

Fable Friends – WOW Easter Card Swap
Card designed by Dawn Galland
Hope you enjoyed the WOW Easter card swap. I sure did. Until next time, Create Something Beautiful!
One of the best ways to get lots of cardmaking ideas is through my WOW Team Card Swap Mini Catalog. I always host a swap with my WOW Team each time we launch a new catalog. This time was no exception. And wait until you see these fabulous cards.
Because I always want to add even more to my swaps, I’m going to recreate one of the cards at the end of this post. But first, let’s take a look at all these beautiful creations. First up, Klarissa Nightingale and a waterfall fancy fold.
Just pull the pretty ribbon and reveal the waterfall. Klarissa used the Dressed to Impress bundle and the beautiful Best Dressed DSP.
Tropical time and a beautiful card from WOW Team Member, Lisa Lepine. I love the shabby chic look of this card. Lisa used the Timeless Tropical bundle. and the Tropical Oasis DSP. Don’t you just love all that layering? I know I sure do!
On of the most popular suites in the 2020 Mini Catalog has been Peaceful Poppies. Team member, Nancy Sanders, has incorporated elements from both the Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments bundles in her gorgeous card. The layering and touches of gold foil really make this card shine.
Ready for another fancy fold? This one is not just a card, but a very useful desk calendar and post-it-note holder. Created by WOW Team Member, Tonia Cooley, I think this is super clever. Tonia used those gorgeous papers from the Peaceful Poppies DSP.
The easel feature on this card is fantastic.
Next up, Helene Hebert has knocked it out the park with a unique fancy fold. It’s all about the layers, texture and fabulous stamping. Helene used her favorite Forever Blossoms bundle and the stunning Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP.
By opening the first layer, you reveal the first of 2 sentiments.
But wait, there’s more. By opening the final front panel you get a second surprise.
Rounding out the 2020 WOW Team Card Swap Mini Catalog, we have Molly Downing. Molly too, has turned to the very popular Peaceful Poppies Suite. By using lots of the die cuts and traditional poppy parade color, she created a card with lots of interest and dimension. Doesn’t that poppy bouquet look real?
Last, we have my card, which features the Honey Bee bundle. I’ve already published a blog post and video for my card. Hope you enjoyed it.
For our 2020 WOW Team Card Swap Mini, I thought I would try something new. By adding another feature to the card swap, I hope more of you will give these fabulous cards a try. I’ve placed all participating team member names in a hat. Then I drew a name and set to CASING her card. This time, it’s team member, Molly Downing. But, with a twist, I’ve changed the color scheme.
Be sure to check out my WOW Team Card Swap video so that you can appreciate lots of details in these fabulous creations.

Poppy Card – WOW Team Card Swap Mini Catalog Product List
Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time. Create Something Beautiful!
Deck the Halls with boughs of holly, falalala, la la la. To get the the Christmas spirit, I challenged my WOW Team to a Christmas Card Swap. Our guidelines were to create a Christmas card that was easy to mass produce, but still had a WOW factor. I think everyone delivered. For my card, I chose the Christmas Gleaming bundle. I wanted to make it quick and easy. And, nothing does that like a punch. In this bundle, we have two!!
The first WOW on my Deck the Halls card has to be the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. The 12 x 12 sheets are filled with copper foiling accents. One sheet is more beautiful than the next. Be sure to pick up a couple packs on your next order. Because the paper has been so popular it’s been on backourder. But, I’ve got great news. It’s currently back in stock.
My color palette is a little non-traditional, but I love it. I’ve combined Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla and that fabulous copper foil.
I didn’t even have to stamp the ornament images, just punched them out with the Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack. Talk about easy!
And I just love the font mix in the Deck the Halls sentiment. To cut out my sentiment, I pulled the Ornate Frames die set. Yes, again! Boy, am I hoping that one carries over. It’s the perfect sentiment cutting set. I have a video tutorial and supply list at the bottom of the post. But first, are you ready to see all other cards from my WOW Team Members? First up we have team member, Lisa Lepine.
Lisa used the Fells Like Frost DSP along with lots of Silver Foil and that super cute Perfectly Plaid bundle. I love the technique she used stacking the trees in different papers. That added so much texture. She shared with me that this card came together super fast. Why? The focal die cut was a left over from a batch of previous Christmas cards she created. Brilliant, don’t let that go to waste
Next up, we have Eva Hibbing. Eva is a new WOW Team Member and this is her first swap. But, hopefully not her last.
She used the Buffalo Check background stamp and Pretty Peacock ink. Lots of embossing really added the WOW factor to her lovely card. You’ld never know she is a newbie! That gorgeous Christmas tree comes from the Winter Woods set.
Dawn Galland decided to add in a little fancy in her fold using the So Many Stars bundle.
The stars interlock the gatefold. And WOW, she used that gorgeous Mercury Glass Designer Acetate over Brightly Gleaming DSP. You can see the copper stars through the acetate, adding even more interest and texture to her design.
Another very talented card maker, Helene Hebert, has stepped it up a notch with an origami fold for her sweet Christmas tree.
Using the Christmas Time is Here Specialty DSP, she cut five different size squares. Here are the directions Helene shared with me. You will need 5 squares @ 4″, 3.5″, 3″, 2.5″, 2″. Score each square in half and both diagonals. Optional cut: when folded in half, cut from outside to center between diagonal lines for ease of folds. Fold diagonals to center. Glue each triangle 3/4″ space apart and 1/4″ from outside edges. Oh my, I have got to give this one a try!
Now it’s Nancy Sanders turn. Nancy paired the Detailed Bands die set with the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. STUNNING!!
Because she cut the focal detailed band out of our Sparkle Glimmer Paper, it looks all icy and wintery. Just perfect with the designer paper. Then she finished it off with a little bow of the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon and a few basic pearls.
Last, but certainly not least, WOW Team Member, Tonia Cooley, added this card to our swap. She used our new, Limited Edition Suite, Christmastime is Here. By cutting the large floral image from the DSP, you’ll be mass producing this card in no time all.
Tonia also added in some of the fantastic Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and the beautiful Gold Shimmer Ribbon. Scoop some up for your stash quick before they sell out. Everyone is loving all the products in the suite.
Ok, are they talented or what? I’m so lucky to have each of them on my WOW Team. Can’t wait for the next swap to see what’s in store. But for now, I promised you a Deck the Halls video and details.
Here’s how the magic happens.
