My Dad is about to celebrate his 91st birthday. Time for a special card, don’t you think? My Grassy Grove Shadowbox Fancy Fold is so Dad. He loves everything outdoors and nature inspired. A farmer his whole life, there’s no big surprise about that.
My color combination for today’s project is a bit Fall inspired. We’ve got Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee, Old Olive and Basic White. To achieve both the detailed trees and the blue sky background, I’ve used the fabulous new Sale-a-Bration item, Simply Marvelous DSP.
Even if you don’t want to kick it up a notch with the Grassy Grove shadowbox, you can create this lovely card front and have a fabulous masculine card design. But, as you know, you’re only 91 once. And Dad loves it when I create interactive cards for him.
By using my handy Stampin’ Write Markers in Old Olive and Cinnamon Cider, I was able to ink up the tree stamp. That way, I could easily achieve two colors in the image.
Is that die cut not gorgeous? I love the way the deers are nestled up behind the trees. It looks like they are taking a walk in the forest.
Because I used all but one die from the set, this card gives you a true feel for what you can create when you purchase this new bundle.
That lovely sentiment is from another new Jan-June Mini Catalog offering. The Flowering Tulips Bundle is another great set. When I saw that sentiment, I knew I wanted to use it in Dad’s card.
The Grassy Grove Bundle can be found on page 47. It’s a 9-piece cling stamp set with a 10-piece coordinating die set. Not only for masculine card designs, I can see this one used in your Christmas card making too!
Creating the Grassy Grove shadowbox fancy fold isn’t difficult. With just a few easy score lines, you’re on your way. Click here to view my FREE video tutorial filled with all the tips and tricks.

I’m writing this post on a very gloomy, cold December morning. And yes, a Daffodil Daydream is swimming in my head. I’m so excited to share today’s card with you. It features lots of new product in the upcoming January-June Mini and Sale-a-Bration catalogs. Both publications will launch January 4, 2022.
Springtime is right around the corner and dancing daffodils will be visible soon. I couldn’t stop smiling while creating this card. It made me think of this quote. “Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful, they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” – Luther Burbank
The Daffodil Daydream bundle features a 7-piece cling stamp set with a 24-piece die set. Pick up this bundle in my online store and you can choose the fabulous Daffodil Afternoon DSP for FREE!
This paper has dramatic, bold botanicals on one side and a more neutral pattern on the reverse. For my card, I decided to use that bold collage pattern as a backdrop for my daffodil.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE word dies. And the “Amazing Thanks” die set is no exception. Did you notice the shadowing effect? The dies are part of the Amazing Silhouettes bundle. Word combinations include, thanks, thank you, amazing you, and you are amazing. The stamp set has beautiful watercolor wash images.
But in my humble opinion, the Daffodil Daydream bundle is the star of this show.
I’ve got lots of ideas of how to use those intricate dies to create 3D daffodils with leaves and stems and so much more. Be sure to stay tuned. For now, let’s get back to today’s project.
Have you started your Stampin’ Blends collection? The Stampin’ Up! Blends are a fabulous coloring medium and will have you looking like an artist before you know it. To color my glorious daffodil, I’ve used Daffodil Delight (of course) and Mossy Meadow.
Don’t waste a smidge of that beautiful paper. I’ve used my scraps to cut the two bitty butterflies on the inside of the card. And did you notice that sentiment inside the card? Be sure to check out the fabulous sentiment set you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration. Break out that brochure and turn to page 14 for the Special Moments stamp set. By placing a $100 order, you can earn this 21-piece set for your very own.
What an amazing set! Sentiments for all occasions and in fonts that will match any style. Ready to see this new goodies in action?

My #1 tip, when stamping the Hello Ladybug images, is that your Stamparatus will produce the best results. That way you can achieve rich deep images.
For my card base, I created a little peek-a-boo feature by cutting away 1″ on the front flap.
Here’s how the magic happens.

I can’t wait to share lots of new projects with you featuring all the fabulous products in the January-June Mini Catalog. Start working on that wish list and if you need any help, contact me. Until next time, Create Something Beautiful!
I needed to create a BIG batch of customer thank you cards. It was the perfect opportunity to share with you, how to mass produce a beautifully layered card. I’ll take you step by step through the process. You’ll be creating batches of pretty layered cards in no time flat.
Who says you can’t mass produce a beautiful layered thank you card? I’ll show you how the Stamparatus can tackle this job and make it quick & easy. One star of the show is the lovely You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper. The patterns are so versatile and can be used with all types of cards.
Two other tricks I’ve used to achieve a quick layering effect, was to use our Square Vellum Doilies as a backdrop for my sentiment. It can mimic the look of an intricate die-cut, without all the die cutting.
Because I used our Sprig Punch for my leafy images, I was able to punch out a big batch of those in just minutes. Punches always come in handy and are true staples in your craft room.
Don’t waste any of the DSP scraps. Why not dress up the inside of your card. You will take your design to the next level.
Here’s how the magic happens.

Are you ready to see all the cards from our Eden’s Garden Team Swap? My WOW Team never disappoints. There are quite a few fancy folds I’m sure you will enjoy.
If you haven’t scooped up the gorgeous new goodies in the Eden’s Garden Suite, you are missing out. Let’s jump in, I’ve got lots to share. First up, we have June Hay’s fancy fold.
I love the way June framed her focal image with the die cut from the Encircled in Beauty dies. Take a really good look and you’ll also notice she used a vellum doily in the background to create another layer of beautiful texture. Wait until you see the side view.
Way to geaux June! Who wouldn’t want to display this beautiful card? Next up, we have a pocket card designed by WOW Team Member, Kathy Docen.
Because Kathy used the more neutral side of the Ever Eden DSP, she created fabulous background texture for her card front. I love the die cut accenting the fold-over.
Just pull of the ribbon tab to reveal your insert. Clever, right, yep that’s my team they are pretty awesome. Laura Carpenter is a brand new team member and jumped right into the Eden’s Garden Team Swap. Her card really shows off the beauty of the DSP.
Laura’s design is one that lends itself to multiples. Don’t forget to order yourself a couple packs of that lucious paper before it sells out. It’s available while supplies last only.
Love the ink blending Laura did both on her sentiment and the inside panel. It gives the card a very vintage feel. Ready for another fancy fold? The next one is designed by WOW Team Member, Denise Walker.
I’m lovin’ the angle cuts, embossing and of course that gorgeous belly band. What a neat design. I’ll have to give this one a try soon.
That little frame is worth it’s weight in gold. I can see myself using it in lots of upcoming designs. Denise’s card would be great for lots of occasions; birthdays, graduation, new job/house and so much more. Can you believe it, I’ve got another fancy fold to share. This time, WOW Team Member, Nancy Sanders, has designed two folds in one card.
The book fold is perfect for what’s about to happen on the inside of this card. I love it when you can design a card that can be displayed.
I’ll bet you weren’t expecting that! WOW, Nancy, everyone is going to enjoy CASEing this one. My card was highlighted in my previous blog post. If you missed it, here’s the link. I’ve used the Ever Eden Cotton Paper to create a linen technique.
Last but not least, WOW Team Member, Paula-Kay Bourland has designed another fabulous fancy fold. Not only that, her card will be highlighted in today’s video tutorial.
It’s a double box pop out card. Not sure if that’s the technical name, but that’s what I’m calling it.
I love that the backside of the card has lots of room for a message. And Paula-Kay showed off that border die-cut as well. It’s so versatile, you’ll be pulling it out for lots of designs. Ready to see how easy this one comes together.
Here’s how the magic happens.

Look at those gems! Told you, you’re going to want a couple packages of those for sure.
The large frame from the Eden die set fits perfectly on a card front, but it can also be altered into a oval frame with a little snipping.
