One Sheet Wonder First Frost

One Sheet Wonder First Frost

Hi there everyone, welcome back! I’m so excited about my one sheet wonder today.  One of my favorite things to do is stamp and create my own designer series paper.  Are you skeptical? Don’t be, this truly is easy and quick. You’ll be able to create 4 cards in no time at all.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, One Sheet Wonder, First Frost, Stampin' Up!

For this one sheet wonder, my color palette is Highland Heather, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.  Just load you blocks and break out an 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of Whisper White card stock.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, One Sheet Wonder, First Frost, Stampin' Up!

In no time at all, you’ll have this gorgeous sheet of designer series paper.  Now that you have your one sheet wonder all stamped and ready to go, you can create four mats, 3 3/4″ x 5″ each.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, One Sheet Wonder, First Frost, Stampin' Up!

Stamping all the sentiments was pretty quick and easy as well. I created a template for the die cut and used my Stamparatus to stamp all the sentiments in Calypso Coral. The sweet little wooden element was inked with the Highland Heather ink pad. One word of caution though, they take a little bit of time to dry.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, One Sheet Wonder, First Frost, Stampin' Up!

By cutting the sprig using the die from Frosted Bouquet, I finished off the sentiment. That sweet accent band was created with a 1″ x 6″ piece of our Gingham Gala DSP.

I just love how this turned out. Are you ready to give it a try?  I sure hope so. I’ve even filmed a FREE video tutorial to show you just how easy this process can be.

Below I’ve listed the supplies and cutting measurements to create four cards with your one sheet wonder. Here’s how the magic happens.

  • Card Bases – Thick Whisper White CS – two sheets, each scored on the 8 1/2″ side at 4 1/4″. Then cut each at the 5 1/2″ mark. You will now have four cards bases.
  • One Sheet Wonder – Whisper White CS – 8 1/2″ x 11″ – once stamped, cut four pieces at 3 3/4″ x 5 “
  • Mats – Highland Heather CS – four @ 4″ x 5 1/4″

So Hoppy Together Encouragement Card

So Hoppy Together Encouragement Card

Welcome! Are you ready to smile? One of the cutest items in the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration offering is the So Hoppy Together set. The set has a mix of cute little frogs and sentiments. But wait, beginning March 1, 2019 you can order the Hop Around Framelits to cut out all the sweet images.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, So Hoppy Together, Stampin' Up!, Sale-a-Bration

My granddaughter will be the recipient of this sweet little card. That is one strong young lady and she can do anything she sets her mind to. She’s about to embark on two sports and finish up her 7th grade year at school.  I just want her to know, in a playful kind of way, that I know she can do anything.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, So Hoppy Together, Stampin' Up!, Sale-a-Bration

First off, this is a fancy fold, but oh so easy to construct. Because I wanted the little frog on the lily to be center stage, I decided to cut away the front flap of the card to reveal the swirly background inside the card.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, So Hoppy Together, Stampin' Up!, Sale-a-Bration

This fold is quick and easy, but still packs the WOW factor. What says “woodsy” more than a leaf background and a burlap ribbon studded embellishment? It’s all in the details.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, So Hoppy Together, Stampin' Up!, Sale-a-Bration

Isn’t he just stinkin’ adorable? I used the Stampin’ Blends to color both the frog and the bug. Did you know we sell those in a duo pack, both in a light and dark tone? I’ld love to show you how to put this card together so you can make someone’s day. Here’s my FREE video tutorial.

Now wasn’t that fun? Here’s how the magic happens.

All Adorned Vintage Card

All Adorned Vintage Card

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. In today’s project I’ld love to share with you how quick and easy it to use the All Adorned set with our fabulous Stamparatus. The All Adorned set is a Level 1 Sale-a-Bration item. What does that mean? Well, you can earn it for FREE, of course!!!

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, All Adorned, Stampin' Up!

Knowing that I wanted the focal image to have a larger stage, I decided to make this card a 6″ x 6″ format.  And believe it or not, the design process started with the color combo, Pear Pizzazz, Petal Pink, Soft Suede and Whisper White.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, All Adorned, Stampin' Up!

Stamping the focal image was very quick and easy using our Stamparatus. The All Adorned set includes a beautiful corner stamp. You just load the stamp in one corner of the 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Petal Pink, stamp, turn, stamp turn and so on until all four corners have that lovely image.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, All Adorned, Stampin' Up!

The All Adorned set also includes some lovely medallion images. In the focal image, that I’ve stamped on a die cut from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits set, I stamped the larger medallion in Pear Pizzazz and the other in Petal Pink. They nest together perfectly. Again, the Stamparatus to the rescue!

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, All Adorned, Stampin' Up!

All that fabulous embossing in the background was done with the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. And those sweet butterflies were created with the Butterfly Gala set.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, All Adorned, Stampin' Up!

I can’t believe how quick and easy this card came together. I’ll bet you would like to see the Stamparatus in action.  Well, here you go! I’ve filmed a FREE video tutorial so you can see just how wonderful our stamp positioning tool really is. I’ve even got a tip for using our Classic Label punch to customize the size of your sentiment.

Here’s how the magic happens.

  • Card Base – Whisper White CS – 12″ x 6″, scored at 6″
  • Mat – Soft Suede CS – 5 ¾” x 5 ¾”
  • Mat – Pear Pizzazz CS – 5 ½” x 5 ½”, run through the Big Shot with the Lace Embossing Folder

I’m a BIG lover of all things layered and textural. As soon as I saw the Country Floral Embossing Folder, I knew I had to have it.  I couldn’t wait to run it through the Big Shot to see the impression it would create. It did not disappoint. I’ve said it before, but I really feel like I need to say it again. The Country Floral folder has to be the prettiest I’ve ever seen.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Country Floral, Stampin' Up!

Let me say, first of all, I’m very sorry that the Grapefruit Grove Foil paper is no longer available. But, that tells me one important thing. There are lots of you out there that have it. So, I wanted to show you how to use it. GET yourself the Country Floral Embossing Folder and run a piece of that gorgeous paper through the folder. You are gonna swoon.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Country Floral, Stampin' Up!

In today’s card I am also featuring the gorgeous Botanical Butterfly DSP, that you can earn for FREE during the Sale-a-Bration promotion. It’s so easy to make a dramatically beautiful card by just fussy cutting one of the large butterflies from the paper.

One of my favorite stitched die sets is the Stitched Labels. That set is so versatile and so many different shapes are in the set. You’ll find yourself cutting and layering them on every project. I cut the largest label in Highland Heather for the backdrop of that lovely butterfly.

Vintage Crackle Paint Wonderful Romance

Vintage Crackle Paint Wonderful Romance

Creating my vintage crackle paint Wonderful Romance card was a joy. I love the vintage look and the Wonderful Romance bundle is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  Sure hope it carries over, but in case it doesn’t you should scoop it up during Sale-a-Bration and earn a freebie.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Vintage Crackle Paint Wonderful Romance, Stampin' Up!

First off, creating that background is easy. I started off with a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Heat embossing always adds the WOW factor to any project. This one is done in Copper with that gorgeous Crackle Paint background stamp. Then by sponging on color, Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue, I achieved the vintage crackle paint look.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Vintage Crackle Paint Wonderful Romance, Stampin' Up!

If you don’t have markers or blends, no worries. We almost always collect our ink pads first. To color this gorgeous image from Wonderful Romance, I used a blender pen with my ink pads. There are so many ways to add color. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Vintage Crackle Paint Wonderful Romance, Stampin' Up!

To continue with my vintage crackle paint look, I cut a doily in Balmy Blue using the Doily Builder die.  Love that set so much, I’ll be offering the bundle in my WOW Class to GO! in April. Stay tuned for more info!

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Vintage Crackle Paint Wonderful Romance, Stampin' Up!

Embossing the sentiment in copper and adding those sweet little copper sprigs really made the sentiment pop. And oh, did you see that we now have Rectangle Stitched Framelits? I love them!!!

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Vintage Crackle Paint Wonderful Romance, Stampin' Up!

I guess you can tell I really like the Crackle Paint background stamp. I think this might be the fourth project I’ve used it in so far.  And I have to say each one has a different look and feel. Are you a visual learner? I sure am. If so, sit back and relax, I’ve got a FREE video tutorial for you.

Crackle Paint Background Humming Along

Crackle Paint Background Humming Along

The Crackle Paint background stamp will be one you’ll be reaching for time after time. I just love it when Stampin’ Up! offers a stamp that is so versatile.

Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations, Crackle Paint Background Humming Along, Stampin' Up!

To start things off, I wanted to have some texture along with the crackle paint background. So, I stamped the Basic Gray mat, tone on tone and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Talk about texture!

Crackle Paint Humming Along

Because I didn’t want to do traditional coloring, I decided to break out my Brushos. They create intense color and are so fun to play with. Time to get a little inky! For both the hummer and the flower I used the Yellow and Brilliant Red.

Crackle Paint Humming Along

I used watercolor paper for both the hummer and the flower.  Just cut two 4″ x 4″ pieces and you’re on your way. For the flower, spritz it first with some Champagne Shimmer Mist, then with a little water.  Sprinkle the entire surface with the Yellow Brusho and then the Brilliant Red. You’ll start to see the colors bloom, but when you spritz once more with your water spritzer, you’ll really see the colors come to life.

Crackle Paint Humming Along

I punched three sets of leaves from Call Me Clover CS and stamped them tone on tone with the Crackle Paint Background stamp.  See, it can do double duty. Inking and crimping the leaves give them more of a realistic look, don’t you think?

Crackle Paint Humming Along

Using black embossing powder on the hummer and the sentiment really made them pop. I think it also gave a rich look to the card. In my FREE video tutorial, I’ll show you step by step how to create this lovely card.

Here’s how the magic happens.

  • Card Base – Thick Whisper White CS – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Mat – Lovely Lipstick CS – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Embossed/Stamped Mat – Basic Gray CS 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″, stamp the Crackle Paint Background stamp in Basic Gray and then run the mat through the Big Shot with the Corrugated Embossing Folder.
  • Hummingbird – Watercolor Paper – 4″ x 4″, stamp the hummingbird in Versa Mark, sprinkle with black embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool. Apply the brusho color as shown in the video. Cut out the image with the coordinating die.
  • Flower – Watercolor Paper – 4″ x 4″. Apply the brusho color as shown in the video. Punch out the 3 images using the Four-Petal Flower punch. Ink the edges in Lovely Lipstick.
  • Leaves – Call Me Clover CS – scrap – punch 3 sets of leaves using the Leaf punch. Stamp with the Crackle Paint Background stamp in Call Me Clover ink.
  • Sentiment – Whisper White CS – 4 1/4″ x 2″ – stamp the sentiment in Versa Mark,  sprinkle with black embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool. Cut out the image with the coordinating die.
  • Ribbon – Lovely Lipstick Stitched Edge – 6″
