About Me

Welcome to my creative space and Stampin’ Up! Blog. I thought it would be helpful for you to know a little bit about the creative spirit behind the stamping. I married my high school sweetheart, Terry, in 1972, am the mother of two talented children, Terry and Jennifer, and grandmother to my amazing Trent and Elisabeth.  I have strong roots to my small town of Belle Chasse, right outside New Orleans, Louisiana. (Hence the name WOW NOLA Creations.) As a matter of fact, I’ve lived here my entire life. As the daughter of a Plaquemines Parish citrus farmer, that farm in its sixth generation, my love of nature becomes evident in my style and designs.

I’ve always been a creative spirit, never getting enough of every art medium out there. I’ve dabbled in pottery, painting, quilting, arts and crafts of every type, and now paper crafting and scrapbooking. My style and color palettes are warm, earthy and textural. The more layers the better!

Stampin’ Up! has given me the opportunity to gather an amazing talented team of crafters, Susan’s WOW Team. Due to my dedication and hard work I’ve also had the opportunity to earn five trips with Stampin’ Up!: Washington, D.C., Getaway, Mediterranean Cruise, Thailand Trip, Alaska Cruise and the Greece Cruise.

I was lucky enough to find Stampin’ Up! in March 2011 when I was looking for an outlet to meet new friends. And, WOW, did I find that! I offer weekly classes and clubs and am fortunate enough to have a waiting list for both. I love my WOW Wednesday family of crafters who not only craft with me but serve the community as well.

We’ve adopted the residents of our local nursing home and serve their creative needs throughout the year. In this photo from our fifth Annual Christmas Community Service Project, we had just completed 120 ornaments and Christmas cards, one for each of the residents. Each year we have a tree-trimming celebration where the residents hang their ornaments and receive their cards. Quarterly, we visit the art room at the home and create projects with the residents. This has become a very rewarding experience for each of us.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I hope you visit often.

Until next time, Create Something Beautiful!
